About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Talent Manager to lead the organization's talent strategy by attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing talent. Reporting to the Regional HR Manager – East Africa, the successful candidate will partner with senior business leaders to drive talent acquisition, leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives that support business growth.
This opportunity is ideal for HR professionals with experience in FMCG, logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, or other fast-paced commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment for senior and business-critical roles while building strong talent pipelines.
- Develop and implement talent management and learning & development strategies.
- Design competency frameworks, career pathways, and leadership development programs.
- Drive succession planning and develop high-potential employees.
- Manage the performance management cycle, supporting managers through coaching and continuous feedback.
- Lead employee engagement, retention, organizational culture, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.
- Build and manage relationships with universities, training institutions, recruitment partners, and other external stakeholders.
- Support employer branding initiatives and workforce planning.
- Utilize HR analytics to provide insights and improve talent management strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, or Organizational Development.
- Experience within FMCG, logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, or a similar fast-paced industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, leadership development, succession planning, coaching, and performance management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using HR analytics and workforce planning to support business decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
