Credit Control Manager

Role Summary
The Credit Control Manager will be responsible for executing credit control policies, managing debt recovery processes, and ensuring a healthy credit portfolio within a healthcare diagnostics environment.
The role will focus on collections efficiency, credit risk management, client account management, and ensuring strict compliance with credit policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute credit control policies, procedures, and systems within the organization.
- Achieve and exceed assigned credit business, collections, and debt recovery targets.
- Negotiate and manage credit agreements with healthcare clients and corporate accounts. Prepare proposals, presentations, and credit submissions for approval.
- Manage debt recovery processes to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Oversee claims processes internally and externally to ensure compliance with set procedures.
- Manage client invoicing, reconciliations, and payment follow-ups to ensure accuracy and timely collections.
- Conduct credit checks on new B2B healthcare clients and onboard accounts in line with approved procedures.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual credit control and collections reports.
- Perform credit analysis and recommend actions to mitigate credit risk exposure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare clients to ensure sustainable and timely payment behavior.
- Support onboarding of new credit accounts to ensure smooth service delivery and compliance with credit requirements.
- Manage key healthcare accounts and resolve all credit-related queries and concerns.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and proper maintenance of all credit account data.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the credit control function to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or Credit Management within reputable organizations.
- Experience within healthcare, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or a regulated medical environment will be an added advantage.
