Job Summary
The Production Supervisor Assistant will support the Production Supervisor in coordinating day-to-day production activities and ensuring that production, safety, quality, maintenance, and documentation requirements are consistently met. The role will assist with production planning, monitoring of operational activities, equipment maintenance coordination, supplier follow-up, and preparation of production and incident reports.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and monitoring of daily and weekly production plans and promptly flag any deviations to the Production Supervisor.
Maintain accurate and timely production, safety, and quality records and documentation.
Support safety committee activities, including employee training, policy implementation, and workplace safety awareness initiatives.
Monitor adherence to departmental policies, procedures, SOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Support the Production Supervisor in overseeing routine production activities and maintaining order, discipline, and efficiency on the production floor.
Coordinate with the Accounts Department to ensure adequate resources and materials are available to support production requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and support the preparation of production reports for management review.
Maintain up-to-date maintenance records for production machinery and equipment and assist in coordinating preventive maintenance schedules.
Follow up with external service providers, including electricians, plumbers, waste collectors, and other contractors, to ensure timely service delivery.
Document supplier-related issues and maintain structured follow-up plans to ensure outstanding matters are resolved.
Assist in investigating safety incidents, quality non-conformances, and operational issues and prepare reports outlining findings and corrective actions.
Support the identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions arising from operational issues.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, organised, and efficient production environment.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Management.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Production/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience coordinating production activities and supporting production teams.
Experience in production documentation, reporting, and monitoring of production processes.
Practical understanding of workplace safety, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
Training or certification in Occupational Health & Safety, GMP, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Management will be an advantage.
