Job Summary

The Barman is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional customer service. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized bar, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and creating a welcoming experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.

  • Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service at all times.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and equipment.

  • Monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs to the supervisor.

  • Process customer orders accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.

  • Ensure responsible service of alcoholic beverages in line with company policies.

  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor complaints professionally.

  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.

  • Support the Food & Beverage team to ensure efficient service during peak periods.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Food & Beverage Service, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Barman in a hotel, restaurant, or bar.

  • Knowledge of cocktail preparation, beverages, and bar operations.

  • Experience using POS systems is an added advantage.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Well-groomed, reliable, and able to work under pressure.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
