Job Overview: 

hands-on Automotive Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles and machinery, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and identify mechanical faults in vehicles and machinery.
• Inspect and test vehicle components and systems to determine their condition and functionality.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, fluid checks, and tyre rotation.
• Inspect critical vehicle and machinery components to identify potential faults or safety concerns.
• Repair or replace worn or faulty components, including brake pads, wheel bearings, and other mechanical parts.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle and machinery components as required during repairs.
• Test vehicles and systems after repairs to confirm that faults have been effectively resolved.
• Perform routine servicing and maintenance in accordance with required schedules.
• Apply basic knowledge of hydraulic systems when diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
• Maintain proper records of mechanical problems, repairs, servicing, and maintenance carried out.
• Report significant mechanical faults and recommend appropriate corrective action.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are properly maintained and kept safe.
• Comply with applicable workplace, vehicle, and safety procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Grade I or II in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or a Certificate/Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in automotive mechanics.
• Practical experience in vehicle diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair.
• General knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid and clean driving licence.
