Job Description:

Our client is a leading medical diagnostics company present in Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Tanzania & Uganda recognized for their advanced tests in diagnosis of cancer, neurological disorders, infectious diseases, and an array of genetic abnormalities. They are seeking to fill the role of Sales Manager for their Kenya Operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed assigned revenue, volume, and profitability targets within the designated region.
  • Prepare, develop, and present business proposals, commercial bids, and growth initiatives for management review and approval.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the regional sales team to drive high performance and target achievement.
  • Execute approved sales and marketing initiatives across retail, corporate, and professional customer segments to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage credit accounts and oversee debt recovery activities to maintain a healthy and sustainable customer portfolio.
  • Ensure effective customer coverage and engagement in line with defined market penetration and service standards.
  • Drive territory and network expansion initiatives in accordance with the approved business growth plan.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in industry events, customer engagement forums, educational programs, and conferences to support business development objectives.
  • Oversee sales administration activities to ensure operational efficiency, service excellence, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, target, and secure profitable new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and solution-based selling.
  • Support the successful onboarding and retention of new accounts by coordinating cross-functional resources to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, strategic partners, industry influencers, and decision-makers.
  • Develop account acquisition, retention, and growth strategies by collaborating with commercial and operational teams to ensure successful contract implementation and account management.
  • Ensure the sales team is adequately trained and equipped to effectively communicate the organization's products, services, value proposition, and promotional campaigns.
  • Guide customers through relevant processes and procedures to facilitate smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the organization's products, services, competitive positioning, and market dynamics.
  • Ensure the sales team is empowered to generate demand, strengthen customer relationships, expand market awareness, coordinate service delivery with internal stakeholders, resolve customer queries, and execute structured sales activities to achieve business growth.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferably a Science Graduate), MBA in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage
  • At least 7 years and above as a Sales Team Manager with Distinguishable Results preferably within the Healthcare space. 
  • Excellent Business Acumen & Extensive Know-how of Business Development
  • Excellent communication & Analytical skills
  • Proven Ability on Building Team Commitment and Cross-functional relationships.
