ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a Customer Experience (CX) and Queue Management solutions division of a multinational technology group operating across multiple African markets. Their product suite spans Queue Management Systems (QMS), Virtual QMS (VQMS), Self-Service Kiosks, Digital Signage, Appointment Booking, CX CRM, and a CX Feedback Portal, primarily serving banking, healthcare, government, and enterprise clients.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Presales Executive – Tanzania is a commercially driven role responsible for supporting the Tanzania sales team across the full pre-sales lifecycle. Based in Dar es Salaam, this person will identify and pursue tender opportunities, prepare compliant proposals and bids, conduct product demonstrations, and manage POC engagements with prospective clients. This is a self-directed role in a growing market that requires initiative, commercial confidence, and the ability to operate independently while maintaining full pipeline and reporting discipline.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and track tender opportunities across Tanzania's public and private sector procurement portals, government listings, banking and healthcare institutions, and parastatal organisations
- Prepare and submit end-to-end RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, EOIs, and formal tender responses compliant with Tanzanian procurement regulations and client requirements
- Develop tailored technical and commercial proposals including cost estimates, solution descriptions, scope of work, and capability statements
- Conduct product demonstrations of the full solution suite (QMS, VQMS, Self-Service Kiosks, Digital Signage, Appointment Booking, CX CRM, CX Portal) to prospective banking, healthcare, and enterprise clients
- Assist the sales team to plan, coordinate, and manage Proof-of-Concept (POC) engagements from scoping through execution, including documentation, client feedback, and commercial follow-through
- Support client discovery and needs analysis sessions to position the right solution for each prospect
- Prepare accurate quotations in coordination with both enterprise and SME sales reps, aligned to approved pricing and commercial frameworks
- Maintain a tender calendar and compliance matrix to ensure zero missed deadlines across concurrent submissions
- Proactively scan the Tanzanian market for emerging opportunities, new institutions, and government procurement cycles not yet in the pipeline
- Manage and update CRM records with accurate deal stages, proposal statuses, and activity logs
- Together with the operations coordinator, produce regular reports on bid activity, demo pipeline, POC status, and win/loss analysis for the Head of Business
MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in bid, tender, RFP, RFQ, and RFI preparation with direct ownership of the full submission process
- Strong written and verbal communication in English – proposals and client-facing documents must be professional, precise, and compelling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pricing models, trackers), Word (proposal formatting), and PowerPoint (presentations and demos)
- Hands-on experience with a CRM system for pipeline and activity management – experience with a leading cloud CRM platform is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated familiarity with Tanzanian public or private sector procurement portals and tendering processes
- Confidence and presence in client-facing settings including demonstrations, presentations, and POC reviews
- Self-directed working style with the ability to operate independently and generate momentum without being managed
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Commerce, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a presales, bids, or commercial coordination role within an ICT, technology, or enterprise solutions environment
- Experience conducting product demonstrations or supporting POC engagements is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with banking, healthcare, or public sector procurement in Tanzania – banking sector background is particularly valued
- Swahili proficiency strongly preferred for client and stakeholder engagement

ADVANTAGEOUS
- Existing familiarity with Tanzanian banking, healthcare, or parastatal procurement institutions and key contacts
- Experience supporting both enterprise and SME client profiles simultaneously
- Prior experience with customer experience technology solutions
