Procurement Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management functions of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and services while optimizing costs, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring uninterrupted supply to support business operations and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Forecast procurement requirements in collaboration with production, inventory, and finance teams.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement, and supply chain optimization.
  • Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supplier developments to support informed purchasing decisions.

Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable local and international suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply and service quality.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and implement corrective action plans where necessary.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and service agreements with vendors.

Purchasing & Contract Management

  • Oversee the sourcing and procurement of packaging materials, raw materials, equipment, and operational supplies.
  • Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Manage contract renewals and supplier agreements to mitigate operational risks.

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Work closely with warehouse and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support production schedules and business operations.
  • Resolve supply chain disruptions and procurement-related challenges promptly.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and contract documentation.
  • Prepare procurement reports, spend analyses, and performance metrics for management review.
  • Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CIPS, KISM, CPSP-K, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
